Hey there,
It's Abhi here and let's talk about what tools do you really NEED to run a successful affiliate marketing business.
- Domain + Hosting
- A Page/funnel builder
- An Autoresponder
That's it. Let me tell you a little bit about what they are and what are my personal recommendations that won't burn a hole in your pockets.
#1 Domain + Hosting.
So a domain is simply a web address - the .coms, the .orgs etc. This is your address on the internet and hosting is your house. This is where all your files reside - this is where you create your brand. Don't get scared. It's very easy to create a website and you don't have to dedicate a lot of time to this as you can build this overtime little by little.
So what do I recommend and what's the cost?
I recommend getting a .com as most people finds it more trustable and it costs like $10. If you are totally brand new, then you can actually get it for free with the hosting that I recommend and use.
Now, if you are not new, just use Namecheap to get the domains that I use personally .You can also use Godaddy. Just get one.
Now don't buy something that has money or wealth or something flashy attached to it. Keep it simple. Maybe buy something that has your name on it or maybe a simple brandable domain that is short and easy to remember.
For hosting, I use a company called Hostinger.com, and I never had any problems with them for 2 years now, Whenever I faced and difficulties, the support really took care of me and I love the companies that have great customer support. And they are very affordable. So it's perfect for any beginner.
You will even get a free domain so you don't have to spend anything on the domain part as well. FREE SSL, FREE email, and even you get free google ads credit if you want to advertise on google for traffic.
I'll give the links to all the resources below.
#2 A Page/funnel builder
Now, that you have a website, it can double up as your funnel as well. Let me explain...
Normally, people flock over independent funnel builders like Clickfunnels, Kartra etc... they are great at what they do BUT there is one problem. They are pricey. They cost like $97/month which is not affordable for many.
If you think about it, you are spending $97/month i.e. about $1200 a year. I had to find an alternative and boy did I find one.
It's called ThriveSuite and it can not only build a beautiful website but can also build really good funnels. It's a plugin with a ton of functionalities with the ease of drag and drop PLUS a lot of templates to use.
Now the cost. It costs $228 annually Or $90 Quarterly.
I have an annual subscription and it is a serious money saver compared to the $1200 annual cost of CF.
#3 An Autoresponder
This is the most important piece of your business. This is where you'll collect, store and contact the email list that you are going to build.
I use Getresponse and I am spending about $15/month on this for a lot of features BUT BUT you don't have to.
You will get this for FREE. Not a trial but it's free forever till you get your first 500 subscribers.
If you do manage to get 500, you need to upgrade but it's pointless to even discuss that as if you do have 500 subs, you'll be making a lot more money to even worry about the small 15 bucks or 45 bucks that you are going to spend.
So this is completely free for you as beginner.
So overall you are spending:
Product Name | Price | Link | Rating |
---|---|---|---|
Hostinger | $2.59/month onwards | ||
ThriveSuite | $228 annual or | ||
Getresponse | Free |
$10 for a domain (less if you are a beginner)
If you choose to got for 1 year, it's $31
And if you go and get the annual subscription of thrive themes, it's $228
and then Getresponse is free.
So that's about $269 and you don't have to worry about any more expense till the next year.
You can make so much in this one year if you work on your business and you go ahead and work on one of the strategies that I recommend, you definitely are going to make a lot more money to even worry about the next year's expense.
Hope this video makes everything clear and if you have any questions, just ask away in the comments section below and I'll reply to each of them.
