Hostinger Review – By A Non-Techy User

Hey, It’s Abhi here and I am creating this review video about Hostinger hosting after using it for more than 2 years.

Watch the video above and if you are more of a reader, then read on!

Before getting Hostinger, I have used Bluehost and Siteground and let me be honest, they both are really great but when it was the time to renew the plan, it got expensive for me. I wasn’t making any money online with my blog Or my YouTube channel and really I didn’t know what I am doing with my online business…

Then, I started searching for an inexpensive hosting that doesn’t compromise on quality. One day, I received an email from Justine from Hostinger asking if I want to try their hosting and collab with them and if I do that, I'll get the 1st year of the hosting for free.

Naturally, I was very happy with their offer and so I took it. And instead of recommending them right off the bat, Justine asked me to be honest and tell people about their service depending upon my experience.

And here we are after 2+ years!

Anyways, in these 2 years I really loved Hostinger and it’s very very affordable and I recommend it whole-heartedly to others.I mean they offer a plethora of services and their live support is great and helped me solve my problems every single time. The uptime is great.I am not that great of a techy guy but I’ll just share my experiences and thoughts and the good and the bad - everything in this video.

THE GOOD

Fast load times

It’s a very important factor. If someone visits your website and if it doesn’t load in like 2-3 seconds, they are out.

The attention span of people is so low that if your website doesn’t load in a few seconds, they just get off the website and do something else. So yes Hostinger provides fast load times.Hostinger has servers not just in USA, but also in Asia and the UK, so that helps keeping the overall loading times quick no matter where your visitors are located.

Super Affordable

You not only get fast loading website speeds but also get them on the most affordable price.

hostinger pricing

The plan starts from $1.99/month for a single shared hosting for 1 website.

I’d recommend going with the Premium Shared hosting since you get a free .COM domain, free SSL security, can add upto 100 websites, have Unlimited bandwidth, 24/7 Live Chat Support.

And it just costs $2.99/month which you pay on annual basis that translates to $35.88 for the whole year. When you renew this next year, the charge will be $6.99/month that means about $83.88 which is still very affordable compared to the $150 that I billed on renewal when I was using Siteground.

Don’t get me wrong as Siteground is one of the best out there and if you want to use them, use them 🙂

I was just pointing out the affordability here.

You can save if you choose 24 months plan or 48 months plan. If I select it here, you can see you will save $432 here.

This is an option if someone already has a business and wants to move their hosting here.

If you are new and want to start out pick any of the first two, read the features and go with what you are comfortable with.

Btw if you want some additional discount, I’ll give you a code at the end of this article that is exclusive to my audience.

Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not happy with your Hostinger purchase, no problem… You have 30 days to try it out and get your money back if your experience is not what you were hoping for.

To be fully transparent, the redemption fees, domain name renewals, and privacy protection are the only things that are NOT part of the 30-day money back guarantee - so keep that in mind.

Otherwise, the hosting, domains, SSL certificates are all refundable within 30 days of purchase.

FREE Domain

If I haven’t mentioned that you get a free domain with the premium shared hosting plan, then yes you get a free .com domain.

You can buy domain at a different place but having your hosting and domain in the same place can be nice and less complex for new guys to use.

FREE Webiste Builder

Hostinger has a partnership with ZYRO that gives you access to one of the better website builders out there.

Zyro’s easy to use builder is great to build a website or an online store with 100s of beautiful drag n drop templates. You can use it or not - that’s upto you.

Personally, I’ve used ThriveSuite to build my website and I pretty much use it to create my funnels, landing pages and everything. I’ll talk about it some other time. Anyways, you get a free website builder with Hostinger.

Simplicity

Even if you are brand new, you wouldn’t have any problems using Hostinger as its so simple to use. It’s very very simple and pleasing to the eye and at the same time, it’s powerful as well.

There are tons of instructions, FAQs, trainings if you get stuck.

And yes how can I forget their Customer Support.

Customer Support

As I said, they always solved my problems even when it was 2 AM and had my back. You can send them an email as well if it’s not something urgent.

We talked about the good… not let’s talk about the bad.

THE BAD

No Phone Support

I was just raving about their support but they don’t have a phone support?.

Whaaaat?

Well you really don’t need it but yeah if you prefer talking to customer support over phone, then this is a negative point for you.

Missing Features on The Basic Plan

If you are super brand new and want to start building just 1 website, then there are missing features like free domain with the Single Shared Hosting Plan.

This forces you to get the premium shared hosting plan but it’s still affordable than many other competitive hosting companies.

Hostinger Pricing And Options

I have briefly talked about the hosting plans above… let me talk about it a little more here.

Hostinger Single Shared Hosting

The most basic plan of the shared web hosting services which means that your website exists on a server with other websites.

hostinger single shared hosting

This is great for you if you don’t have a big budget for expensive hosting as the cost of the server is split between you and other people. One downside is that it could affect speed as there are many people using the same servers.

However, if you are fresh and are just starting out, the single plan gives you all you need to get the ball rolling.

It starts at $1.99/month if you select a 48-month commitment and if you select a monthly plan without paying annually, then the price jumps to $9.99 every single month.

This plan gets you 1 website, 30 GB of SSD storage, 100 GB bandwidth, a free SSL certificate, 1 email account and more.

Hostinger Premium Shared Hosting

This is what I used personally when I first got started and now I have upgraded to Business Shared Hosting.

If you select this, you get a free .com domain which costs $8+ , unlimited bandwidth, you can add upto 100 websites, 100 GB OS storage, upto 100 business emails, daily backups, and more.

hostinger premium shared hosting

It costs $2.99/month for a 12-month or 48-month commitment as of now and goes upto $11.99 if you go monthly without any annual commitment.

Hostinger Business Shared Hosting

This is what I use currently, and I recommend you to get this only if you already have a business setup and are making money with it… otherwise no point in getting this.

So anyways, you get 4 times the processing power, 200 GB storage, and much much more.

hostinger business shared hosting

The price starts at $4.99/month for 48 months and goes to $16.99/month if you go monthly without any annual commitment.

Cloud Hosting

If you don’t want the traditional hosting and want more flexibility and scalability, then go for the cloud hosting option.

What is cloud hosting you ask? It’s simply means that you are website is hosted in the cloud and not the traditional physical servers.

The basic plan is called Cloud Startup which starts from $9.99/month for 48 months. It’s a great starting place if you want the cloud hosting.

If you want to go even more, then there is Cloud Professional and Cloud Enterprise options with plethora of features.

I don’t even know what half of those features mean xD

There are more types of hosting like VPS hosting, Minecraft hosting and I have no idea what those are and I don’t have any use of them on my businesses, so I am not really qualified to talk about them.

But yeah if you want to turn heads and make waves with your business, then you can go for VPS hosting… and the Minecraft hosting is geared towards gamers like installing game mods and many other things that I have no clue about.

So finally, if I am to conclude, Hostinger hosting is a great choice if you are looking for something affordable and want high quality service.

It’s great if you are a beginner, small business or even big business… there’s options for everyone!

I can recommend Hostinger to you confidently as I myself have been using this for more than 2 years and I don’t have any plans to look for something else. I have upgraded to the business plan instead.

And if you do choose Hostinger as your hosting platform, then use this exclusive coupon code “PROFITNOTCH” at the checkout to get an extra 7% Off of your final price!
